Music Making Tips:

  • Turn all your music into .mp3 format to reduce size.
  • Choose two good beats and use them on and off.
  • Never have more than 4 seconds of the same bit of music in a row. Make each second originial.
  • Always add drums to anything to add a good beat, this will get them tapping their feet. People, when listening to music, want to look cool. So if they can tap their foot or hand to it, they will love it.
  • Sound effects are great! Use them. If you haven't got any, make your own or find them on game CDs.

Comic Making Tips:

  • Create your charcters first, as if they were real people.
  • Set out boxes, around 12 is good, then put in your content.
  • Don't piss around with speach bubbles, just type right onto the comic and draw a line to the thing talking.
  • Make backgrounds or then it won't feel real.
  • Create a plot before you make the comic so you don't get carried away.
  • Get friends to help create characters and sets, this helps loads.
  • Leave each episode with suspense or people won't come back.
  • Try to be regular with episodes or people will become disinterested.
  • Put characters who will speak the most on the left side of the box so it reads from left to right.
  • Use facial expressions.

Animation Making Tips:

  • Make the background of all images transparent rather than white.
  • Try to optimize all your images so they are nice and small.
  • Optimize them into gif format.
  • Use shades of colours rather than bulks of red or blue for example.
  • If you have alot of kb size to waste, make the movements in the animations more accurate.
  • If you are having trouble creating fire, just make a circle, fill it with a radial yellow to red fill and make it bigger and then smaller for flame effect. Use same effect for bloody if it's hard to draw splurges.
